About PJ
PJ Chen is a jewelry designer, educator, and Authorized Rhino 3D Trainer offering online jewelry CAD courses, private group coaching, and industry training. With jewelry industry experience dating back to 2002, she helps beginners and working designers turn their ideas into practical 3D models for casting, stone setting, and 3D printing.
Before focusing on her online school and industry training, PJ taught jewelry design and CAD at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), Lawrence Technological University (LTU), and College for Creative Studies (CCS), including a decade as a full-time faculty member at SCAD.
Today, her online courses combine clear, step-by-step Rhino instruction with practical jewelry projects. Her Jewelry CAD Masterclass includes lifetime access to course videos and one year of Private Group Coaching, where students can submit questions weekly for personalized feedback, troubleshooting, and recorded answers.
PJ has also provided Rhino training to teams at companies including Fossil, Michael Kors, Ford, and Denso. Her teaching connects CAD skills with real manufacturing considerations, helping designers build confidence, solve modeling problems, and make informed design decisions.
