PJ Chen CAD designed the low-relief sculptural caseback for Shinola's Great Americans Series Limited-Edition Alan Bean Watch, translating Alan Bean's painting 'Kissing the Earth' into a dimensional CAD model. Bean was the fourth person to walk on the Moon and later became a painter, creating artwork inspired by his Apollo 12 mission — this caseback design reinterprets his painting as a wearable, low-relief sculpture.
